The Bears had a rough outing in a Week 7 Monday night match-up with the Rams, as the offense was unable to find the end zone in a 10-24 loss. Eddie Jackson scored the lone touchdown for the team after recovering a Robert Woods fumble. Nick Foles also threw two interceptions in that outing, leading to a disappointing final stat line including 28 of 40 passes for 264 yards. Will Foles’ numbers improve against a less formidable Saints defense? We break down the fantasy implications below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bears QB Nick Foles
Foles has led the Bears to some surprising victories, but his success on the field has not translated to success in the fantasy world. Foles is only averaging 12.7 points per game and currently ranks 28th at the quarterback position. The Saints defense ranks 20th in the league in regards to fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. The match-up is not a must avoid but it’s also not one to target in particular. Foles has failed to make a splash in any matchup this season, and has also thrown at least one interception in each of his appearances thus far. He provides a decent floor, but there is likely a better streaming option out there if your starting QB has a bye. It’s best to look elsewhere for a starter in Week 8.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Nick Foles.
