Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense lit up the scoreboard in Week 7, but it wasn’t quite enough to top the Browns, as they lost 34-37. Joe Burrow was impressive in the game, completing 35 of 47 passes for 406 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown to finish with 33.64 fantasy points. His day was only slightly marred by an interception and a fumble. Burrow will hope to continue his high level of play heading into a tough Week 8 match-up with the Tennessee Titans. Is he worthy of a spot in your starting lineup? We break down the fantasy implications below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals QB Joe Burrow
Joe Burrow is currently the 18th ranked quarterback in fantasy football and he is averaging 18.7 points per game. He has a fairly tough match-up this weekend with a Tennessee defense that ranks 15th in points allowed to fantasy quarterbacks. Ben Roethlisberger was able to find the end zone twice against them in Week 7, however he also threw three interceptions. Burrow has recorded an interception in each of his last four games so turnovers will certainly be of concern. That being said, the Bengals will likely have to put up a lot of points to keep up with a potent Tennessee offense. Burrow will likely be throwing early and often and he has demonstrated his ability to put up big numbers in tough matchups. He does come as somewhat of a boom/bust risk but may serve you well as a starter, particularly as a bye week fill in and in 2 QB leagues.
