New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is having a rough second season. In some ways it’s a continuation of his rookie season, but without the flashes of promise that gave fans some hope for the future. He’s most likely not on your fantasy radar, but just in case he is, you should probably remove him from it.
Fantasy Football analysis: Giants QB Daniel Jones
Jones is actually on something of a hot streak, lukewarm at least. He’s thrown three touchdowns in his last two games. That’s not really a lot, but it’s better than the four-game streak where he didn’t throw a single score. He’s now got five touchdowns and seven picks for the season. Worse, his fumble problems don’t seem to be going away. He lost a critical one last week against the Eagles, and he’s now lost four on the season.
This week Jones and the Giants play the Buccaneers, the best defense in the NFL according to Football Outsiders. Tampa Bay has 12 takeaways so far this season, tied for third most, and nine interceptions, which is tied for the second-best mark in the league. In other words, this is going to be a very difficult week for Daniel Jones.
