On a New York Jets team best characterized by disappointments, there might not be a bigger bust than tight end Chris Herndon, at least not from a fantasy football perspective. After showing some flashes of brilliance as a rookie in 2018, he’s failed to live up to the potential, setting new milestones for woeful production this year.
Fantasy Football analysis: Jets TE Chris Herndon
Herndon’s best game of the season so far came back in Week 1. He was targeted seven times in that one, catching six passes for a season-high 37 yards. Over the last two weeks he’s put up zero stats. No targets, no catches, no yards, nothing.
Not only am I recommending that you bench Herndon in all fantasy formats this week, if you have him on a roster at all, you’re wasting precious space that could be used for, I don’t know, an extra kicker or something.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Chris Herndon.
