Russell Wilson continues to cook. He now leads the league with 22 touchdown passes, and his 1,890 yards are good enough for eighth best. He averages 315 yards per game too. All that cooking has made him an MVP candidate as well as a must-start player every week in fantasy football.
Fantasy Football analysis: Seahawks QB Russell Wilson
Wilson did struggle a little last week against the Cardinals. He threw three interceptions, doubling his season total to that point. But he also had three touchdown throws and another 84 yards on the ground as a nice bonus. Out of six games so far, he’s thrown at least three touchdowns in five of them, and he’s thrown five scores twice.
This week he gets the 49ers, a team that’s only allowed two quarterbacks to throw for more than one touchdown in a game this season (Jared Goff and Ryan Fitzpatrick.) However, the Seahawks may have to throw the ball even more this week with running backs Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde both sitting out practice with injuries.
This may not be another five-TD performance, but it’s hard to make the case against sitting Wilson this week.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Russell Wilson.
