Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert is expected to return to the lineup on Sunday. It’s a tricky situation as we look ahead to what might happen at the tight end position for the Eagles. Whether you are a fantasy owner of Goedert and/or Richard Rodgers, let’s take a closer look at what may happen on Sunday.

Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles TEs Dallas Goedert, Richard Rodgers

Earlier in the week, Goedert returned from the injured reserve as he has been dealing with an ankle injury. We’ll see if he can give it a go on Sunday, but the Eagles would certainly like to have Goedert back as they continue to play without Zach Ertz, who is also out with an injury.

In his place, Richard Rodgers performed well in last week’s game against the New York Giants. He led all Philadelphia pass catchers with team highs in receptions with five and receiving yards with 85 total.

Philadelphia will meet up with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, and Dallas allowed four receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown to Washington Football Team tight end Logan Thomas in its last time out.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

If he is back, Goedert can be used as a No. 1 tight end for fantasy purposes. Rodgers is unstartable if Goedert returns, but will be a tight end No. 2 if Goedert cannot play.
