The 2020 NBA Draft is set for November 18th after the longest season in League history. The order for the first and second round is set and we already know that the Minnesota Timberwolves will be selecting No. 1 overall after winning the NBA Draft Lottery back in August. Some of the top prospects who could be selected high in the draft include SG Anthony Edwards, G LaMelo Ball and C James Wiseman, among others.
As of this writing, the Thunder are the only team without a head coach. This will likely be settled before the draft. OKC surprised most critics this past season by making the postseason with a relatively weak roster. The back court of Chris Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Dennis Schroder carried the Thunder to the postseason. Danilo Gallinari may be on the way out. Steven Adams is an OK anchor down low but is aging. Whoever is hired as coach needs to maintain the identity that Billy Donovan established.
Here, we’ll be going over all the draft picks for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first and second rounds.
Update: The Thunder have reportedly acquired the No. 28 pick in the draft from the Lakers in exchanged for G Dennis Schroder. The deal has yet to be finalized.
First Round: No. 21 (traded to PHI), No. 25 (DEN’s first-round pick; OKC owns rights), No. 28 (via LAL reported trade)
Second Round: No. 53
