Friday PM update: Golladay is officially out for Week 10.
Friday AM update: Golladay was not at practice on Friday and is likely to be ruled out for Sunday’s Week 10 game.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay was at practice on Wednesday to open Week 10, but did not participate, per ESPN’s Michael Rothstein. The Pro Bowl wide receiver did not play last week against the Minnesota Vikings as he is week-to-week with a nagging hip injury. Golladay initially suffered the injury back in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts.
This season, the 6-foot-4 wide out has 20 receptions (32 targets) for 338 yards and two touchdowns. With Golladay’s status unclear for Sunday’s game, expect Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford to lean on veteran wide receivers Marvin Jones Jr. and Danny Amendola and second-year tight end T.J. Hockenson.
In last week’s game against the Vikings, Amendola led the team in receiving with seven receptions (10 targets) for 77 yards. Jones was second behind Amendola with three receptions (four targets) for 43 yards and a touchdown, while Hockenson had five receptions (eight targets) for 39 yards and a touchdown.
