Friday update: Jeffery got in another full participation day and was removed from the final injury report.
Thursday update: Jeffery was a full participant on Thursday and is firmly on track to play this Sunday.
The Philadelphia Eagles have dealt with a slew of injuries at wide receiver in 2020 but could get a big boost in Week 10. Alshon Jeffery, who hasn’t played a single snap this season, was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. He logged a DNP ahead of Sunday’s game so it appears like he has a chance to make his debut against the New York Giants in Week 10.
Jeffery has been on the shelf recovering from a foot surgery he underwent over the offseason. The injury ended his 2019 season after just 10 games but he can be a major factor through the air when healthy.
Jeffery has been one of Carson Wentz’s favorite targets since 2017 and has amassed 165 catches for 2,122 yards and 19 touchdowns in 39 regular season games with the Eagles. It’s unclear how he fits alongside the piping hot Travis Fulgham and Jalen Reagor, but his return bodes well for Philadelphia’s offensive production.
