Final injury report
Out: Gardner Minshew (right thumb), Kyle Allen (ankle)
Doubtful: N/A
Questionable: N/A
Thursday injury report
There were no changes of note to the QB injury report. Really we’re waiting on one big name: Ben Roethlisberger. He is on the Covid-19 IR list due to a high risk close contact. He’s expected to come off the list by Saturday, but that also requires he test negative in his tests leading up to that. We’ll know by Sunday what his status is, but it’s still something we have to wait for in the meantime.
Wednesday injury report
There are no surprises on the injury report. Kyle Allen was listed as a DNP due to his ankle injury, but he’s going on IR so it’s not necessary to include him. Drew Brees remains on the injury report with a shoulder issue, but at this point in this season nothing is going to change with his status barring a serious aggravation. He looked fine against the Bucs and will be fine moving forward based on how things currently stand.
DNP: Gardner Minshew (right thumb)
Limited: Drew Brees (right shoulder)
Full: Josh Allen (left shoulder)
Three familiar names topped the Week 9 fantasy quarterback list, as Kyler Murray, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes were 1-2-3. This week we get to see the Top 2 fantasy quarterbacks go head-to-head in the desert, which will give us our highest over-under of the week with 56-total points.
Playing the Seahawks, Falcons and Cowboys worked out once again for fantasy quarterbacks, as all three allowed Top 7 fantasy quarterback finishes. Unfortunately we don’t get the Falcons or the Cowboys to pick on this week.
Injury news
Ben Roethlisberger has been placed on the Covid-19 list and is banged up, but if he tests negative all week, he will start on Sunday against the Bengals.
Baker Mayfield is on the Covid-19 list, but could be cleared by Wednesday.
Gardner Minshew is expected to miss another start, giving Jake Luton the start in Green Bay.
Week 10 byes
Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets
This week we’ll be without Patrick Mahomes, Matt Ryan, Sam Darnold/Joe Flacco, and Garret Gilbert. That’s quite the wide array of talent, but Mahomes and Ryan are the biggest losses.
Streaming options
Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins
Tagovailoa showed well against the Cardinals in Week 9 and gets a good matchup with the Chargers this week. Tagovailoa threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns and ran the ball seven times for 35 yards. Those numbers aren’t great, but he played well enough to expect good things moving forward, especially if he continues to run the ball.
Jared Goff, Rams
Goff hasn’t been good this season, but he gets the best matchup of the week against a Seattle defense that is dead last in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. As long as Russell Wilson continues to put up points, quarterbacks facing the Seahawks will need to throw a bunch.
