Friday update: Coach Vic Fangio says that he is “pretty confident” that Jerry Jeudy will play on Sunday against the Raiders. He returned to practice on Thursday and will practice again on Friday. We’ll see if he gets a full workload, which would be a positive sign for his workload this week.
Thursday PM update: Jeudy returned to practice on Thursday and was listed as a limited participant.
Thursday AM update: Head coach Vic Fangio told the media Jeudy has a shoulder contusion, per Mike Klis. His status for Sunday remains unclear.
Denver Broncos wideout Jerry Jeudy is coming off his best performance of the year but is banged up ahead of his team’s Week 10 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. The rookie appeared on Wednesday’s injury report with a shoulder injury and did not participate in practice. He’s fueled Denver’s passing attack in recent weeks so his progress could have a significant effect on the production of the receiving corps.
Jeudy combined for 11 receptions, 198 yards, and a score on 24 targets in Weeks 8 and 9. He’s emerged as a favorite target of Drew Lock, who has started to hit his stride after missing time with a shoulder sprain. If he’s ruled out of Sunday’s contest Tim Patrick and Noah Fant could get a boost in targets. Lock has attempted at least 40 passes in three straight game and reached a season-high 48 in his last outing. If this trend continues Denver’s pass catchers are set up to get a ton of opportunities.
