The Colts and Titans face off this Thursday night. The Titans high powered offense will take on the Colts potent defense, while the Titans middling defense will take on the Colts middling offense in what should make for an interesting match-up. Do either of these D/ST’s belong in your Week 10 lineups? We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Colts D/ST, Titans D/ST
The Colts D/ST is ranked first this season in fantasy points per game with 11.5. Interestingly enough, they will take on a tough Titans offense that has allowed the fewest points to opposing D/STs with an average of 1.7 per game. Ryan Tannehill is known for protecting the football, leading to few opportunities for his opponents, but the Colts defense is too good to bench. They drop from their typical top five ranking to the lower end of D/ST’s you’d consider starting this week due to the match up, but they can still be started as a low end D/ST1.
The Titans defense has averaged only 3.0 points per game this season, making them bench material in most weeks. A matchup with the Colts will only do a little bit to help that. The Colts have allowed an average of 3.0 points per game to opposing D/ST’s this season. Philip Rivers has been known to throw an interception or two, leading to scoring opportunity. Keep an eye on practice reports to see the availability of Jadeveon Clowney, who would provide a boost to this D/ST value. They are not in a smash spot, but can be considered a low end D/ST1 this week as well.
