McVay: Darrell Henderson will play in Week 10

The Rams will have their normal trio of running backs for Week 10.

Los Angelas Rams running back Darrell Henderson wasn’t able to practice on Wednesday with a thigh injury, but coach Sean McVay says Henderson will play on Sunday, per the Associated Press’ Greg Beachum.

Henderson has been the lead back since Week 2 and has played well for the most part, accumulating 95 rushing attempts for 459 yards and three touchdowns while catching 10-of-15 targets for 120 yards and another touchdown. His 4.8 yards per carry is better than both Malcolm Brown and Cam Akers, who both sit at 4.2 ypc. Henderson will continue to split time with Brown and Akers will get chances to mix in, but it doesn’t look like he’ll see his work increase unless there’s an injury ahead of him.

There is of course concern that Henderson could aggravate his thigh injury against the Seahawks on Sunday, but he should get his start and work as usual.
