D.J. Chark sits out Thursday Week 10 practice with illness (not Covid)

Jaguars WR D.J. Chark missed Thursday practice with a non-Covid illness. We break down what it means.

The Jacksonville Jaguars had an unexpected addition to their injury report on Thursday of Week 10. Wide receiver D.J. Chark was listed as a DNP due to an illness that is not Covid-19. Chark did not appear on the Wednesday report as the Jaguars began preparations to face the Green Bay Packers.

Chark is coming off his best game of the season. In Week 9 he caught seven passes for 146 yards and a touchdown and reached double digit targets for the second time this season. It also marked his first time over 100 receiving yards in 2020.

Laviska Shenault is also on the injury report, listed as limited for a second straight day with a hamstring injury. Keelan Cole is currently the third receiver on the depth chart, with Chris Conley also getting some work. If Chark gets back to at least limited work on Friday, we can feel good about his chances of playing this Sunday.
