Friday update: Tonyan did not practice on Friday, per Matt Schneidman. Tonyan is trending in the wrong direction.
The Green Bay Packers had their second practice of Week 10 and added a new name to the injury report. A day after not appearing, tight end Robert Tonyan was listed as limited on Thursday due to an ankle injury. The Packers face the Jaguars on Sunday.
Tonyan had an impressive run in Weeks 2 through 4, catching five touchdown passes. In Week 3 and 4 he had a combined 11 catches for 148 yards and was a waiver wire darling for a tight end position that is regularly limited in fantasy-viable talent.
He quieted down from there, but did catch five passes for 79 yards in Week 8 to get back on the radar. He responded with one five-yard reception in Week 9 and is mostly off fantasy radars outside of deeper leagues. Jace Sternberger and Marcedes Lewis would get more playing time in his place if Tonyan is unable to play.
