The 2020 NBA Draft is set for November 18th after the longest season in League history. The order for the first and second round is set and we already know that the Minnesota Timberwolves will be selecting No. 1 overall after winning the NBA Draft Lottery back in August. Some of the top prospects who could be selected high in the draft include SG Anthony Edwards, G LaMelo Ball and C James Wiseman, among others.
The Pelicans entered the seeding round in the NBA bubble with high expectations. Those expectations didn’t even come close, the Pelicans underachieved and ended up firing Alvin Gentry. New Orleans hired Stan Van Gundy to replace Gentry, hoping Stan Van’s ability to mentor young talent will shine through. So the Pels will enter 2020-21 with one of the best young cores featuring Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball. They’ll get to add another piece with the 13th pick as well.
Here, we’ll be going over all the draft picks for the New Orleans Pelicans in the first and second rounds.
First Round: No. 13
Second Round: No. 39 (WAS’ second-round pick; NOP owns rights), No. 42, No. 60 (MIL’s second-round pick; NOP owns rights)
