Game day update: The Bengals likely will need to keep busy through the air to hang with the Steelers, and ESPN’s PPR projections reflect that. Tyler Boyd is projected with 15.5 points, Tee Higgins with 13.8 points, and A.J. Green with 11.2 points. Boyd has emerged as the top receiver among this group.
The Cincinnati Bengals throw the ball a lot. It’s due to a combination of factors which includes playing from behind and having a talented arm like rookie quarterback Joe Burrow. It also gives their wideouts lots of fantasy football scoring potential. But what about this week in a tough matchup against the Steelers?
Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals WRs Tyler Boyd, Tee Higgins, AJ Green
Boyd’s the top option among these three wide receivers. In Cincy’s last game, a Week 8 upset over the Titans, he caught six passes on seven targets for 67 yards and a touchdown. The week before that he had 101 yards and a touchdown. Higgins is second in the rankings here. He had 78 yards in that game against Tennessee. And while Green was once one of the most productive receivers in fantasy football, his best days are behind him. After two productive weeks, he had just 19 yards on two catches in his last outing.
The Steelers defense is good, but it’s not invulnerable to opposing receivers. And with as much as the Bengals throw the ball, Boyd and Higgins are both solid starters this week.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins. Sit A.J. Green.
