Game day update: This could be an interesting game plan week for the Rams. The Seahawks run defense ranks ninth in adjusted line yards and their pass defense will be without cornerbacks Quinton Dunbar and Shaquill Griffin. The injuries are an issue and one has to wonder if the Rams focus more on the air game because of that. In PPR leagues, ESPN projects Darrell Henderson with 12.1 points, Malcolm Brown with 10.3 points, and Cam Akers with 3.2 points.
The Los Angeles Rams host the Seattle Seahawks this week, their first of two important divisional matchups this season. And as with every Rams game this season, we have to figure out which of their running backs is the one to roll with in fantasy football.
Fantasy Football analysis: Rams RBs Darrell Henderson, Malcolm Brown, Cam Akers
Henderson has taken hold of the No. 1 job in the backfield, even though his overall workload doesn’t resemble that of a true workhorse back given the splits in touches. He has been dealing with an injury this week, but head coach Sean McVay said earlier in the week that he expects Henderson to suit up.
Brown is stuck in the secondary role, and Akers is third on the list, typically, unless Henderson can’t play, then the two split the work. It’s a lot to sort out. But if Henderson is playing, he’s the best bet in fantasy.
Seattle has allowed three rushing scores to running backs in their last two games, but no backfield has been able to scrape together more than 100 rushing yards, except for Minnesota. They don’t really need to given how bad the pass defense has been.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Darrell Henderson. Sit Malcolm Brown and Cam Akers.
