In a lightweight battle on the main card of UFC Vegas 14, Paul Felder will fight Rafael Dos Anjos Saturday in Las Vegas and available on ESPN+.

The 35-year-old Felder is walking into the octagon with a professional fighting record of 17-5, and is as known for his commentary during UFC events as his fighting to this point. This is his second bout in 2020, with the first at UFC Fight Night 168, where Dan Hooker defeated “The Irish Dragon” Felder by unanimous decision.

Before that fight, Felder’s last win happened in Sept. 2017 at UFC 242. He defeated Edson Barboza by unanimous decision for the first of two wins in 2019. His last four bouts have been decided by the judges.

“The Irish Dragon” is a competent striker who can also grapple when he needs to in the octagon. Felder lands 3.67 strikes per minute, with a 43 percent striking accuracy. He also absorbs 3.4 strikes per minute, while his defense is at 49 percent. As for grappling, the Philadelphia native has a 0.25 takedown average per 15 minutes and 25 percent takedown accuracy.

Dos Anjos is coming into the APEX with a professional fighting record of 29-13. The 36-year-old Brazilian last fought earlier this year in January at UFC Fight Night 166, where the southpaw lost to Michael Chiesa by unanimous decision.

After that match Dos Anjos was scheduled to fight Islam Makhachev at UFC 254 on Oct. 24., but that bout was scratched a few weeks prior because Dos Anjos tested positive for coronavirus. The fight between Dos Anjos-Makhachev was supposed to be rescheduled for Nov. 14., but Makhachev dropped out a couple of days ago due to injuries, meaning Dos Anjos will now fight Felder as a replacement.

Dos Anjos’ last win happened at UFC Fight Night 152 in May 2019, where he defeated Kevin Lee in Round 4 by submission using an arm-triangle choke. He’s an aggressive fighter who uses grappling to his advantage. Over his career, he has 1.82 takedowns per 15 minutes in the octagon, and a takedown accuracy of 39 percent.

He lands 3.47 strikes per minute with an accuracy of 45 percent. The 36-year-old southpaw also absorbs fewer strikes than Felder at 3.18, and defends them better at 62 percent.
