Game day update: Miles Sanders was not listed on the team’s final injury report after getting in full practices on both Thursday and Friday. He should see the bulk of RB snaps now that he is healthy, and ESPN projects him at 16.1 fantasy points in his first game returning.
Miles Sanders missed the Philadelphia Eagles last two games with a knee injury. But after a Week 9 bye to rest, he was back at practice this week, and he is on track to play against the New York Giants on Sunday.
Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles RBs Miles Sanders, Boston Scott
Sanders suffered his knee injury back in Week 6 against the Ravens. Despite that, he still managed to post 118 yards on just nine carries—74 of those yards came on one breakaway run. The week before that, Sanders scored twice against the Steelers. It’s safe to say the Eagles offense is a better unit when Sanders is playing.
Shockingly, the Giants have not allowed a running back to pile up 100-plus yards since Benny Snell did it back in Week 1. They have given up eight total touchdowns to running backs (five rushing, three receiving). Still, don’t let their relative success against running backs fool you; Sanders is an integral part of the Eagles offense.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Miles Sanders.
