In a women’s strawweight bout on the preliminary card for UFC Vegas 14, Ashley Yoder will face Miranda Granger this Saturday live from Las Vegas and available on ESPN+.
The 33-year-old Yoder is entering the octagon as overwhelming underdog, despite her opponent not fighting since 2019. Yoder has a professional fighting record of 7-6. The last time we saw “The Spider Monkey” Yoder fight, she lost to Livinha Souza by unanimous decision at UFC 252 in August.
Yoder is currently on a two-match losing streak with her last victory happening by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 154 in Jul. 2019. She averages 2.96 strikes per minute with a 40 percent striking accuracy. But Yoder also absorbs a good amount of strikes at 3.49 per minute.
As for Granger, she’ll be trying to get into the win column for the first time in 2020. The 28-year-old was scheduled to fight this summer against Nadia Kassem, but it was canceled.
That being said, the last time “Danger” Granger fight, she lost to Amanda Lemos in Round 1 by technical submission (rear-naked choke) at UFC Fight Night 165 in December. The Washington State native is excited to get back into the ring and will be using her striking abilities to capture the win. She averages 3.42 strikes landed per minute with a 43 percent accuracy.
Here are the odds and betting splits at DraftKings Sportsbook for Ashley Yoder vs. Miranda Granger at UFC Vegas 14 on November 14th.
Odds and Betting splits
Ashley Yoder: +135, (11% of action, 33% of bets)
Miranda Granger: -167, (89% of action, 67% of bets)
Ashley Yoder: $8,000
Miranda Granger: $8,200
This is a tough match to choose from as Granger is the odds on favorite due to her striking ability. But she has not scored well in DFS averaging 31.3 fantasy points per fight. In her first and only loss, Granger scored a lackluster two fantasy points at $8900 salary.
Yoder, on the other hand, is only averaging 50.5 fantasy points per fight. Against Souza at UFC 252, “The Spider Monkey” scored 16 fantasy points, only landing 32 significant strikes. I would fade both of these fights as there’s better value on the fight card.
