The Green Bay Packers are ever slightly closer to having wide receiver Alan Lazard back in the lineup after surgery on his core muscles earlier this season. He was back at practice this week, but the team elected not to activate him off injured reserve. The Lazard watch will continue next week.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling has taken Lazard’s reps since the injury, with some up and down results from week to week. He did have a big game in Week 9, however, catching two passes for 53 yards, and taking both of his catches to the house.
MVS retains fantasy value for one more week while Lazard continues working back. Once Lazard returns, MVS could see a dip in targets. Davante Adams will remain perpetually a must-start, but after that it’s anybody’s guess who will step up in the passing game.
