The Browns will have quarterback Baker Mayfield under center this week they host the Houston Texans. He had been on the COVID/reserve list because of potential exposure, but after a series of negative tests, he was officially cleared to return earlier this week. So what do his fantasy football prospects look like against Houston?

Fantasy Football analysis: Browns QB Baker Mayfield

Mayfield’s been struggling more weeks than not this season. He’s been in a notable slump since October, with one five-touchdown exception against the Bengals back in Week 7. It definitely does not help him that Odell Beckham is injured and out for the season. But he might get some help this week as tight end Austin Hooper is on track to return, ditto running back Nick Chubb.

The Texans defense has been generous to opposing quarterbacks this season. They’ve only made two interceptions all season so far, and have allowed nine touchdowns over their last three games. Mayfield’s not been great this season, but the matchup here gives him some value this week.
