The Jacksonville Jaguars have a touch Week 10 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, a team that’s been especially difficult for opposing tight ends. Tyler Eifert is unlikely to do much better than anyone else at the position who’s faced Green Bay this season.
Fantasy Football analysis: Jaguars TE Tyler Eifert
Eifert missed the team’s Week 7 game, but he was back in the lineup last week just in time for rookie quarterback Jake Luton’s debut. He was targeted five times in that game, catching four passes for 48 yards. Eifert’s target share was in line with his season average, so it doesn’t look like his role in the offense is much different despite the quarterback change. However, he’s only scored once this season, and it is highly unlikely he’d pick up his second against Green Bay.
The Packers defense has allowed just one touchdown to a tight end this season (Rob Gronkowski back in Week 6.) Tight ends aren’t even getting many looks against the Packers; teams are targeting their tight ends for an average of just over four throws per game.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Tyler Eifert.
