Week 9 was best of the season for the Saints with a 38-3 win over their divisional challengers, Tom Brady’s Bucs. But it was definitely the worst week of the season for Jared Cook. Will the tight end be in position to bounce back in Week 10 against the 49ers?
Fantasy Football analysis: Saints TE Jared Cook
This was Cook’s lowest fantasy performance in the 2020-21 campaign. He reeled in two catches for 30 yards, but lost a fumble, bringing his total to 4 DKFP. Much to the chagrin of Jared Cook fantasy owners, the two other Saints tight ends found the endzone. It would be a shock to see Adam Trautman (12.9 DKFP) and Josh Hill (9.4 DKFP) turn those numbers into a normal occurrence, so we can safely say that Jared Cook is still the number one TE option in New Orleans. Still, he will be tough to project for big results in a matchup against the 49ers, as they’ve allowed the third-fewest DKFP to opposing tight ends (8.5 per game) this season.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Cook.
