Production has been hard to find from tight ends in fantasy football this season, leaving lots of people combing the wire for halfway decent streaming options each week. Doubtlessly more than a few of us have looked at the Minnesota Vikings tight ends this week and wondered if they could be of some use in Week 10. Let’s take a look.
Fantasy Football analysis: Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph
Rudolph matched a season high with four targets last week and caught three of them for 40 yards, which is his second highest yardage output in a season where he’s yet to break 50 in a game. His lack of production is tied directly to Irv Smith Jr., who has split work with Rudolph this season. But, Smith is out this week with a groin injury, giving Rudolph the lead role and likely a boost in targets.
Chicago’s defense has allowed tight ends to score in each of their last three games, for a total of six times this season. There is touchdown potential against the Bears and for the tight end position, we’re looking for touchdowns to boost their numbers. Rudolph has a real shot at grabbing one this Monday night.
