Starting a rookie quarterback with just two games under his belt is a dicey proposition in fantasy football. However, Miami Dolphins first-year signal caller Tua Tagovailoa had a pretty good game last week, enough to merit some consideration in leagues this week.
Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa
Tagovailoa had 248 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a win over the Arizona Cardinals last week. He also ran the ball seven times for 35 yards. It was a more productive outing than the week before when a conservative game plan (and a lot of help from a Rams team that couldn’t stop turning over the ball) saw him throw just 22 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.
This week he draws a Chargers team that’s not been too much of a problem for opposing quarterbacks. They’ve allowed seven touchdown passes in their last three games, including two to Gardner Minshew in Week 7. Tagovailoa is a decent low-end option this week.
