In a season where reliable tight end production has been hard to find—forget the standouts—there’s a place for almost anyone in a weekly fantasy football lineup at the position. Miami Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki is one of those semi-anonymous placeholders, a player valuable because so few at his position are actually producing at a high level. So what about this week’s game against the Chargers?

Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins TE Mike Gesicki

Gesicki was hardly alienated last week in rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s second career start. With the Dolphins throwing the ball more, he was targeted four times, catching three passes for 42 yards. It was only the third time this season he’s had more than 40 yards in a game. His workload should remain steady this week. Plus, the Chargers are vulnerable to tight ends, giving up six touchdowns this season to the position. Gesicki’s a decent option in fantasy lineups this week.
