With Saquon Barkley and Devonta Freeman out on injured reserve, New York Giants running backs Wayne Gallman, Alfred Morris and Dion Lewis have another chance to take advantage of more playing time on Sunday. Whether you have one or both of these players, here’s a preview of what to do with the Giants backfield in fantasy football.
Fantasy Football analysis: Giants RBs Wayne Gallman, Dion Lewis
In their last time out, Gallman led the Giants on the ground with 14 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown. He also caught one of two targets for nine yards. Alfred Morris saw the second most carries with nine for 67 yards with one reception for four yards, and Lewis had three carries for five yards with 16 receiving yards on two catches in a 23-20 road victory over the Washington Football Team.
The Giants will return to the field on Sunday to take on the Philadelphia Eagles, which are coming off of a bye. In its last game, Philadelphia allowed just 63 yards to Ezekiel Elliott on 19 carries. As a whole, the Cowboys finished with 3.8 yards per carry.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Gallman can be used as a low-end running back No. 2 this weekend, while Morris and Lewis should remain on the bench for fantasy purposes.
