What to do with Jordan Reed, Ross Dwelley in Week 10 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlooks of Jordan Reed and Ross Dwelley ahead of the 49ers Week 10 matchup against the Saints.

The 49ers offense suffered a huge blow when they lost tight end George Kittle to a foot injury that will likely force him to miss the rest of the season. It was a blow to fantasy football leagues too, since it’s been so hard to find the kind of star production Kittle brought to the position. Now, the team is leaning on Jordan Reed and Ross Dwelley to fill the void.

Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers TEs Jordan Reed, Ross Dwelley

The two tight ends did not quite live up to Kittle’s production levels last week. They combined for four catches and 55 yards against the Packers. Dwelley actually led the way with three catches and 52 of their total yards. However, Reed has had an edge when Kittle has missed time before, making him the safest bet to lead the Niners at the tight end spot.

The New Orleans Saints present a tough matchup for Reed and Dwelley. New Orleans has not allowed an opposing tight end to post more than 35 yards in their last four games. Tight ends haven’t scored against this defense since Week 5. Reed is a decent play just because there are so few options in fantasy at the position, but have realistic expectations.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
