Why I like the Vikings ATS on MNF vs. Bears

Dalvin Cook could run rampant for a third straight week on Monday to help the Vikings cover the spread against the Bears.

The Minnesota Vikings will take on the Chicago Bears in a Monday Night Football matchup at Soldier Field to wrap up Week 10. The visitors have rattled off two-straight wins since falling to the Atlanta Falcons while the hosts have dropped three straight.

The Vikings (-177) are favored to top the Bears (+155) on DraftKings Sportsbook. The momentum they’ve gained over the last two weeks gives them a good chance to cover the spread against a Bears team that’s struggled to put points on the board. Let’s go over why Minnesota is set up to get the job done.

ATS Pick: Vikings

Minnesota is favored by 3-points has gotten a ridiculous boost on offense from Dalvin Cook, and I believe the running back’s hot streak will continue on Monday. He’s run for 369 yards and five scores in his last two games while also hauling in four passes for 109 yards and a score. While Chicago has one of the better pass defenses in the NFL, its has a middling run defense that could forfeit a ton of yardage to Cook. If Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson rebound from their slumps the Vikings will be even more formidable on offense.

My limited faith in Chicago stems from their lack of consistent scoring. David Montgomery has been ruled out for Week 10 with a concussion. His route running received a major boost when Tarik Cohen went down with an ACL tear earlier this season and the backfield situation is foggy without a reliable option behind him. Unless Lamar Miller can return to his glory days after being promoted from the practice squad, Chicago will need Cordarrelle Patterson and Ryan Nall to pound the ground. I don’t think either of them are threatening enough to give Chicago a balanced attack. Nick Foles, Allen Robinson, and could need to come up big to make this game competitive.
