Game status: Chris Carson is INACTIVE for Week 11.
Wednesday update: Chris Carson is unlikely to play on Thursday, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This comes after coach Pete Carroll said he was a game-time decision, but I think we take Schefter at his usual solid word here.
Wednesday update: Carlos Hyde returned to full practices this week and has been taken off the injury report while Chris Carson is listed as questionable after getting limited practices in, per Joe Fann. Receiving back Travis Homer is listed as doubtful. If Carson can’t play, Carlos Hyde will be the fantasy play Thursday night, but we’ll need to wait for more news on Carson.
The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals face off on Thursday Night Football to open Week 11, and both teams have begun preparations. The Seahawks released their first injury report for the week, and it estimates Chris Carson would be a DNP and Carlos Hyde would be limited. The team did not conduct a full practice, and so the practice participation report is estimated.
Both running backs have been sidelined since getting hurt in Week 7. It’s been a slow process back, and in the meantime it’s been a rotation of backs. DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer were both getting work, and then this past weekend Alex Collins took over the bulk of the work. On Sunday against the Rams, Collins rushed a team-leading 11 times for 43 yards and a touchdown along with a four yard reception on two targets. Dallas had two rushing attempts and combined with Homer for five receptions.
The Seahawks will likely have a normal practice on Tuesday and then a walkthrough on Wednesday. Those practice reports will provide a little more insight as to Carson and Hyde’s status for Week 11.
