Friday update: Lazard got in limited practices all week and is considered questionable for Sunday’s game with the Colts, per Tom Silverstein. If he does play, he will likely be eased back in and should be avoided for fantasy this week.
Thursday update: Lazard got in another limited practice on Thursday. He has one more practice to potentially get in a full workout.
Wednesday update: Lazard was able to get a limited practice in per the Packers injury report. This is good news for his status this week, but it would be better to see a full practice from him at some point this week.
The Green Bay Packers have activated wide receiver Allen Lazard from the injured reserve, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Tom Silverstein. This was Lazard’s last week of his 21-day window to be activated, so the team didn’t have much choice. Lazard has been consistently practicing as he recovers from his core surgery, but this activation doesn’t mean he will be on the game-day roster. Of course, the hope and expectation is that he will be, but he didn’t practice last Friday and we’ll need more information before slotting him in our fantasy lineups.
Lazard was playing well before his injury, totaling 13 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns through three games. His biggest game came when he stepped up for Davante Adams who was out with a hamstring injury, but he showed enough to be a player you want on your fantasy team even with Adams healthy.
The Packers get a tough matchup with the Colts this week, so if Lazard does return, he could be eased back while facing a difficult matchup.
