It was 0-0 at halftime of Thursday night’s matchup between the Tulane Green Wave and the #25 Tulsa Golden Hurricane. There were three missed field goals and an interception after the first 30 minutes.
And then it got absolutely insane.
Tulsa was a five-point favorite at home, but was down 14-0 with 10 minutes left. They completed the comeback with 3:16 remaining... and then gave up a 73-yard kickoff return on the ensuing kickoff. Tulane scored on the drive, but left 1:38 for third-string quarterback Davis Brin as Zach Smith was out, and Seth Boomer got hurt in the third quarter.
Brin looked brilliant in pinch-hit duty, leading three touchdown drives for Tulsa, including this one on the last play of the regulation, with a third-string quarterback...
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

And so we go to overtime, where a Tulsa team that has come back from double-digit deficits now four times this season opened with a field goal, which was matched by Tulane.
And then on 3rd and goal in double OT... A PICK SIX FOR THE WIN AND THE MIRACLE COVER!
And then the pick-6 in 2OT, ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!!?pic.twitter.com/fOwVZUneO9

What a game, and it keeps Tulsa in the mix for the American Conference championship. Sheesh.
And we mean this: Our thoughts and prayers to anyone with Tulsa +5. That is just brutal.
