The Kansas City Chiefs opened the flood gates in Week 8 and Mecole Hardman had the breakout performance everyone was waiting for. The second-year receiver tallied seven receptions for 96 yards and a score against the New York Jets. Hardman has been filling in for the injured Sammy Watkins and could be a desirable waiver wire target while Watkins is out of commission.
Fantasy managers began to give up on Hardman after he posted modest stat lines as a starter. He’s only rostered in 27.6 percent of ESPN leagues and has major boom potential. He has tons of competition with Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce also fighting for targets but Kansas City is dynamic enough on offense to make rostering a WR3 worth it. Hardman might not have much long-term value so grabbing him not can help fantasy managers maximize his value before Watkins returns.
