Game day update: If you either have Tee Higgins or Tyler Boyd on your roster, you should consider starting them on Sunday. This week, they are going up against a Washington defense that’s one of the best vs. the pass, only allowing 194.8 yards per game. In regards to fantasy football, they are solid there, too — 16.3 fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers. While this might see daunting to start either WR, the Bengals are without star running back Joe Mixon. Therefore, they will be throwing the ball a lot and often. ESPN projects Higgins, Boyd, and Green to score 9.2, 8.8, and 5.2 fantasy points.
One thing about a team that throws the ball 40 or more times a game, there’s plenty of fantasy football production to be had from the wide receivers. That’s certainly been the case for the Cincinnati Bengals this year, and their top three receivers have been helped considerably by the presence of rookie quarterback Joe Burrow. So what about this week against Washington?
Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals WRs Tyler Boyd, Tee Higgins, AJ Green
The Bengals struggled a little more than usual last week against the Steelers, but Higgins still had a great game, finishing with 115 yards and a touchdown on seven catches. He’s been incredibly productive and consistent over the last two months. Boyd had 41 yards last week, but in the two games before that he had a total of 168 yards and two touchdowns. He’s been a steady presence for the Bengals and fantasy owners alike, though Boyd’s production lately makes him a better choice. After a couple games with some solid numbers, Green has slipped back into irrelevance.
