Cleveland Browns defensive End Myles Garrett has been placed on the Covid-19 list, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The Browns then put put a statement that a player had tested positive and that contact tracing was underway.
Garrett has been out of practice due to illness, so there is a chance that contact tracing won’t take out many other players for their game against the Eagles, but that’s still to be seen.
The Browns placed right tackle Jack Conklin, long snapper Charley Hughlett, and kicker Cody Parkey on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, so the virus is already hurting multiple starters at this point. At this point, Garrett is out for Week 11, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. His absence will create a big hole in the Browns already limited defense.
Garrett has been playing at an MVP level this season, garnering 9.5 sacks and four forced fumbles along with 14 quarterback hits through nine games.
