Oklahoma City Thunder C Steven Adams has been traded to the New Orleans Pelicans as part of a complex multi-team trade, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Adams is actually an extension of the trade between the Milwaukee Bucks and Pelicans involving Jrue Holiday, which was reported earlier in the week. The trade also involves the Dallas Mavericks. Woj has more of the details on his Twitter feed:
Sources: The Steven Adams-to-Pelicans trade includes Denver, which traded a 2023 lottery protected first-round pick for the 24th pick (RJ Hampton) on draft night. That pick is headed to the Thunder -- along with two seconds -- for Adams.

So I’ll try to map out where all the moving parts are going, but this is a bit tricky. The Mavericks are taking on PF James Johnson’s contract. The Thunder are getting SF Trevor Ariza and F Justin Jackson, while the Pistons are acquiring G Delon Wright from the Mavericks. The Pelicans get Adams and the Thunder, you guessed it, get more first- and second-round picks in the process via NOLA.
