Game day update: There was some concern Dallas would be without pass rushers Randy Gregory and Demarcus Lawrence, but both are expected to play on Sunday. In PPR leagues, ESPN is projecting Thielen to have 14.3 points and Jefferson to have 12.9 points.
There isn’t really a clear cut favorite as the No. 1 wide receiver in Minnesota’s offense this season. However, both of their top two options have been producing enough to stay relevant in fantasy football, something that won’t change this week when the Vikings take on the Cowboys.
Fantasy Football analysis: Vikings WRs Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson
Thielen is ostensibly the No. 1 wideout here, but his wings have been clipped a bit lately. That’s partly due to the offense limiting the number of throws and partly due to Justin Jefferson taking away some targets.
Jefferson had eight catches on 10 targets last week, posting 135 yards. Thielen was targeted seven times, and he caught four passes for 43 yards. But he did find the end zone twice for his eighth and ninth touchdowns of the season. Jefferson hasn’t scored since Week 6.
Wide receivers haven’t had too many problems finding the end zone and rolling up yards against this Dallas defense. Thielen’s a WR2 thanks to his scoring potential, and Jefferson is also a solid option in any WR2 spot.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen.
