How and what to watch for Georgia State vs. South Alabama

The Sun Belt football schedule continues to roll near its conclusion with the Georgia State Panthers heading on down to Mobile to take on the South Alabama Jaguars on Saturday.

The up-and-down Panthers nearly pulled off a surprise upset of first-place Appalachian State last week, falling 17-13 in a defensive stalemate where a 10-yard Camerun Peoples touchdown run late in the fourth ultimately pulled the Mountaineers ahead. Georgia State has alternated wins and losses all year.

The Jaguars have been spiraling as of late, dropping three straight games which have included respective blowout losses to Coastal Carolina (6-23) and Louisiana (10-38). The Desmond Trotter-led USA offense was ineffective against the Ragin’ Cajuns, mustering only 268 yards of total offense in 31 minutes of possession time and converting onlt six-of-18 on third down.
