In a middleweight battle on the preliminary card for UFC 255, Joaquin Buckley will take on Jordan Wright Saturday live from Las Vegas and available on ESPN+.
The 26-year-old Buckley enters the octagon with professional fighting record of 11-3 The St. Louis native will be fighting in his third UFC bout. Last month, Buckley competed at UFC Fight Night 179, defeating Impa Kasanganay in Round 2 by via a spinning back kick KO.
Overall, “New Mansa” lands 3.92 strikes per 15 minutes with 32 percent accuracy, while absorbing 6.09 strikes per minute from opponents.
As for Wright, he comes into the UFC APEX with a professional fighting record of 11-0 (1 NC). This will be Wright’s second UFC fight, after an outstanding debut at UFC on ESPN 15 defeating Isaac Villanueva in Round 1 by TKO via doctor stoppage.
Before making the jump to UFC, “The Beverly Hills Ninja” competed in LFA, Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, AFC, Gladiator Challenge, and Explode Fight Series.

The 26-year-old Buckley is coming into this weekend’s event as one of the higher priced fighters. In his first two UFC bouts, “New Mansa” is averaging 59.8 fantasy points per fight.
