How to handle Sammy Watkins injury in Week 11 fantasy football

Sammy Watkins is on the Chiefs final injury report for Week 11. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

UPDATE: The Chiefs have downgraded Sammy Watkins to OUT for Week 11.

It has been a frustrating week for Sammy Watkins. The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver was looking like he would make his first start since Week 5. He got in a full practice on Wednesday, but things changed later in the week, leaving his status for Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders up in the air.

Fantasy impact: Sammy Watkins (hamstring, calf injuries)

Watkins is listed as questionable on the injury report this week, and we may have to wait until Sunday to know his status for sure. He was downgraded to a limited participant in practice on Thursday and Friday with a calf injury, apparently a new aliment. That should probably be a big red flag for fantasy football.

With Mecole Hardman still on the COVID/reserve list, the Chiefs could use Demarcus Robinson and Byron Pringle if he and Watkins are both unable to play this week. The Raiders have given up 455 yards and two touchdown to opposing wide receivers over their last two games.
