The Broncos have spent much of this season playing from behind, leading to an increased usage of the passing game. This has obviously led to a decrease in rushing attempts, though the Denver backfield has been unable to do much even when given the opportunity. Are Melvin Gordon or Phillip Lindsay worth considering for your starting lineup in Week 11? We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Broncos RBs Melvin Gordon, Phillip Lindsay
Melvin Gordon has struggled to get much done on the ground this season, as he has managed to top 100 yards only once. He has eclipsed 20 carries one time, despite Phillip Lindsay’s extended absence earlier this season. There are simply not enough carries available for a middling running back like Melvin Gordon to produce reliably for fantasy owners on a weekly basis. Gordon must share a workload with Lindsay in a backfield that has only had 57 rushing attempts in the last three games combined. There is not enough work and not enough scoring opportunities to count on him to carry your lineup, but he is still the lead back on the team. He takes on a mediocre Dolphins rushing defense and the Broncos may not be dealing with as large of a point deficit as in weeks prior. For these reasons, Gordon still holds flex appeal in standard leagues.
Phillip Lindsay has been unable to put things together thus far this season, and is currently averaging a disappointing 6.8 points per game. He, like Gordon, has suffered due to the low rushing volume of this offense, and his value takes an even greater hit as second fiddle. Receiving only 27 carries over the past four games and having a non-existent role in the Broncos passing game, Lindsay and his meager workload can’t be trusted in fantasy lineups this week.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Sit Phillip Lindsay
