What to do with Drew Sample in Week 11 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Drew Sample ahead of the Bengals Week 11 matchup against Washington.

We haven’t seen a decent level of fantasy football production from Cincinnati Bengals tight end Drew Sample since before Halloween. He has had a few okay outings this year, so he is at least capable. So how about this week against Washington?

Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals TE Drew Sample

Sample had one catch for a whole nine yards last week against the Steelers. In the game before that, prior to his team’s Week 9 bye, he failed to record a single catch, though he was only targeted one time. His best showing of the season was back in Week 7 when he caught five passes for 52 yards against the Browns. And Sample has yet to score a touchdown this season.

Maybe he’s due this week. Or not. Washington is allowing an average of 54 yards per game to tight ends, so it’s not impossible. The problem here is that Sample just doesn’t have a regular enough role in Cincy’s passing game to be a reliable fantasy producer.
