Last week was a slow one for the Los Angeles Chargers offense. Wide receiver Keenan Allen and Mike Williams were unable to produce much with the passing game struggling to get free of the Dolphins’ defense. That should change this week when they face the Jets, and both players will be useful in fantasy lineups.
Fantasy Football analysis: Chargers WRs Keenan Allen, Mike Williams
Allen had just 39 yards on three catches last week—he was targeted seven times. However, he did at least score a touchdown, for the third straight game, to keep fantasy owners from total disappointment. Allen has two games with more than 100 receiving yards in his last four. Williams didn’t do much at all last week. He had 38 yards, catching two passes on five targets.
The good news is that they face the Jets this week. New York gave up 169 yards to Jakobi Meyers of the Patriots last week. The game before that, they let Kansas City’s wide receivers score four touchdowns and allowed two players to break 90 yards. I could go on, but there’s no point. Allen will get back to his usual WR1 status this week, and Williams is a decent play as a WR3.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Keenan Allen at WR1 and Mike Williams at WR3.
