The Miami Dolphins are on the road this week to play the Denver Broncos. While the offense has been dialed back some with rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa leading the way, tight end Mike Gesicki has managed to carve out a solid role for himself that gives him some fantasy football appeal.
Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins TE Mike Gesicki
Gesicki had 40 yards last week against the Chargers. He caught two passes on five targets. Those are similar numbers to what he posted the week before that when he caught three passes on four targets for 42 yards. The Dolphins are doing their best to avoid passing the ball any more than they have to, but Gesicki has had a pretty consistent role in the team’s conservative approach.
The Broncos haven’t been burned by opposing tight ends much this season. In fact, no tight end has scored against Denver since Week 1. However, the position group is averaging about 50 yards per game against this defense, so Gesicki should be able to hit his recent level.
