The Houston Texans and Detroit Lions are set to face off in Thursday’s first Thanksgiving game. Kickoff is set for 12:300 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on CBS. We’ve identified several interesting DFS value options on DraftKings. Here’s who we think you should keep an eye on.
Kerryon Johnson, Lions, RB, $4,300
Johnson has been the least productive of Detroit’s top three backs but played 70 percent of his team’s snaps while D’Andre Swift was out with a concussion on Sunday. Houston has given up more rushing yards than any team in the NFL, so Johnson will likely be a popular play. You don’t risk much my sticking with the rest of the crowd here and a ceiling game would be very rewarding.
Jordan Akins, Texans, TE, $2,900
It took time for Akins to get back into the swing of things after missing month because of a concussion, but he caught five passes for a season-high 86 yards in Week 11. He led tight ends in snaps for the first time since Week 3 and could be a valuable part of the Texans’ dynamic passing attack.
C.J. Prosise, Texans, RB, $4,000
Prosise is getting involved to support Houston’s limited ground game. While Duke Johnson sits atop the depth chart with David Johnson out, Prosise could get more exposure than usual against the Lions’ weak run defense. He notched season highs in carries (3) and receptions (2) on Sunday.
