Washington Football Team quarterback Alex Smith has been the story of the year in the NFL, and he will have a huge audience watching him play on Thanksgiving Day against the Dallas Cowboys. If you have him as a fantasy owner, here’s what you can expect from Smith on Thursday.
Fantasy Football analysis: Washington QB Alex Smith
In his last time out, Smith wasn’t asked to do a whole lot in a 20-9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday with Washington going with much more of a run-heavy attack. He completed 17 of 25 passes for 166 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
On Thursday, Smith and the Washington Football Team will face the Cowboys, which features a middle-of-the-road passing defense that allows 232.6 passing yards per game, ranking 15th in the NFL. In its last game, Dallas allowed Kirk Cousins to throw for 314 yards and three touchdowns on 22 of 28 passing in a victory over the Vikings.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Smith is a mid-tier quarterback No. 2 for fantasy purposes on Thanksgiving Day.
