In a featherweight battle on the main card of UFC Fight Night, Spike Carlyle will fight Bill Algeo Saturday in Las Vegas, and available on ESPN+.
The 31-year-old Algeo has a professional fighting record of 13-5, and this is his third bout in 2020 but only second fight in the UFC. “Señor Perfecto” Algeo made his debut this summer at UFC Fight Night 175. In that August contest, he loss to Ricardo Lamas by unanimous decision.
Before that bout, Algeo defeated Tim Dooling by unanimous decision a couple weeks prior at Cage Fighting Championships 83. Over his pro career, the 5-foot-11 fighter has competed in Dana White’s Contender Series, Ring of Combat, Xtreme Fight Events, and World Series of Fighting.
As for Carlyle, he enters the UFC APEX with a professional record of 9-2. The 27-year-old from San Diego will be competing in his third fight this year and overall in the UFC. “Alpha Ginger” Carlyle last fought in May at UFC on ESPN 9, where he lost to Billy Quarantillo by unanimous decision.
Before Carlyle made his UFC debut this year, he competed Lights Out Xtreme Fighting, Combate Americas, California Cage Wars, Gladiator Challenge, LFA, and California Xtreme Fighting.
