Game day update: Bills running backs Zack Moss and Devin Singletary have been inconsistent plays in fantasy football this season. In Buffalo’s last three games, Moss has 30 carries for 119 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Singletary has 20 carries for 102 yards. Neither running back’s performance is nothing special to write about as they’ve struggled in the last two games. But one of them could find their way to the end zone on Sunday as the Chargers’ defense is giving up one rushing touchdown per game this season. ESPN projects Moss, Singletary to score 8.4 and 7.0 fantasy points, respectively.
The Buffalo Bills have been a pass-first team during the 2020 campaign behind the strong season of quarterback Josh Allen. The team has also been forced into its pass-happy ways because the ground attack hasn’t been able to find consistency this season.
Though this week Buffalo’s top backs, Devin Singletary and Zack Moss, will take on a struggling Los Angeles Chargers run defense, so they have a chance to get back on track.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bills RBs Devin Singletary, Zack Moss
Moss and Singletary have been the leaders of the backfield in Buffalo this season. But so far in 2020, the team has only eclipsed 100 yards on the ground four times, and have only gone over 150 yards once. Neither running back has had a 100 yard game themselves, topping out at 86 and 81 yards, respectively. Singletary has been more consistent in his production, Moss has more touchdowns on the season.
The Chargers run defense has been toward the bottom of the league in terms of fantasy points given up to running backs. On average, the Bolts allow 25.13 points to rushers each week, which is tenth worst in the league. Though, LA has only allowed seven scores on the ground, and neither Bills running back has been that big of a threat in the passing game.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit both Moss and Singletary.
